Overview – The work performed on this jobsite included asbestos and lead abatement in the classrooms, art room, storage room, and teacher’s washroom. Electrical and data infrastructure was installed to support operation of new air conditioning units. Demolition of the following was completed: floor and wall surfaces, recessed casework, blackboards and marker boards, doors, and hardware. Construction work consisted of new floor and wall surfaces, science classrooms, storage room, VCT flooring, and painting of walls and ceiling surfaces. McDonagh performed the installation of new laboratory casework with epoxy tops, science demonstration tables, science equipment storage cabinets, plumbing fixtures, marker boards, laboratory storage casework, doors, frames and hardware, acid neutralizing basin, roof exhaust fan with motorized control damper, acid vent through roof, and timed control damper in room exhaust.
